The Juju Effects/DJ Bag was quickly nick-named the Juju “Magic Bag” because of its unique capability to be reconfigured and for the multiple methods of carrying the bag. The Juju is an oversized bag/backpack designed to offer great protection for dj and audio gear that may not have other easy solutions, and was originally aimed at providing a bag for a guitarist’s effect pedal board. While it still serves the guitar player, it fits many types of larger gear such as audio mixers and laptop dj controllers.
One of the best features of this bag is that the roomy interior is reconfigurable using three 3″x 4″x 6″cushion blocks that are included with the Juju to change the internal dimensions to give your gear the “perfect fit”. The normal interior dimensions are 26″ x 17″ x 4.5″, but depending on whether the blocks are positioned using the 3″ side or 4″ side and whether one or multiple blocks are used, the change is dramatic. The bag ships using the blocks to change the dimensions to 20″x 14″x 4.5″ and by simply flipping the blocks over to the other side it would further reduce the space to 18″ x 13″ x 4.5″. The interior also has Velcro tie-down straps to keep your gear from shifting during transport.
As with all Namba Gear products, the Juju boasts high performance 1680D/poly nylon weather resistant materials, rubber standoffs to keep it off a wet pavement, lockable zippers for security, use with over-the-shoulder strap or converts to a backpack, two convenient carry handles, has a large pocket to hold up to a 17″ laptop or audio devices, as well as extra thick padding to give your gear a little deserved pampering.

* This bag was plainly designed to do a job. There is a shortage of good bags for carrying oversized gear, and the issue with such bags is that if you don’t have one that fits your particular combination of gear perfectly, your gear is going to rattle around inside there, not getting the protection it needs.
Of course, the best bag for any piece of gear is going to be one that fits it perfectly, but saving that, something like this is an excellent all-rounder. What’s more, with a bit of ingenuity it could serve you just as well as your DJ set-up changes over the years, plus if you have an extra piece of gear (audio interface, sampler etc) to fit in as well as your controller, it’d be more possible to do so in here than in a custom bag.
